Dine LBC is committed to reducing the plastic straw pollution in Long Beach and has made it our community focus for 2018. We are encouraging restaurants to offer straws by request only rather than auto-strawing soft beverages and water, and to switch to biodegradable straws if possible. We are also doing our part to educate the dining public in requesting that they order beverages with no straw in restaurants, or to purchase inexpensive reusable metal or plastic straws to carry with them when dining out.
Check out our recent appearance with Kerstin Kansteiner, proprietress of Berlin Bistro on Good Day LA on Fox 11 promoting the #NoStrawChallenge in Long Beach!
Now available! Embossed with #NoStrawLongBeach, these reusable premium metal straws are made of 304 stainless steel, which is eco-friendly and long lasting, safe for all types of foods and beverages, rust resistant. Stainless Steel is one of the most commonly used materials in the kitchen, used to make cookware, utensils, commercial food processing and storage equipment, and more. Stainless steel will not leach any chemicals into your beverage like plastic can.
Each straw measures 8.5″. These stainless steel straws are super easy to clean, each two-pack comes with a cleaning brush, this makes it incredibly easy to clean and even remove any residue such as soap inside the brush. Just clean the inside with the brush and then put them in the dishwasher.
Keep one straw in the car, one at the desk, a couple in the kitchen, etc. Always have ones available to use!
